Broccoli and Cheddar Soup

A little earlier I told y'all about making my own bread bowl to have with my family's recipe of broccoli and cheddar soup. There was some interest in the soup so I figured I would share it with you! It's always wonderful to have a simple soup recipe to whip up on a chilly winter day.

Broccoli and Cheddar Soup

1 can cream of chicken
1 can cream of celery
1 can cheddar soup
1/2 can of milk
1/2 can of water
2 tbsp butter
2 cups chopped broccoli (cooked) --but we use the frozen bag kind, you just have to make sure the broccoli thaws and gets warm in the soup
1/2 bag grated cheddar cheese

Combine all ingredients and heat thoroughly. 

When we made this last time we also happened to have Velveeta on hand so we chopped up half a block of that and threw it in as well. It made it taste even better!

When you are going to cook the soup you can cook it either on the stove or in the crock pot. It taste great either way. If you are cooking it in the crock pot put it on low and check it after about 3 or 4 hours.
