It's Friday and that means I get Mexican food!

Friday, November 15, 2013

I always look forward to Friday evenings because we go to my favorite Mexican restaurant for supper!

AND I'm kinda loving doing a recap of the week and just appreciating things in my life. Plus I get to link up with A. Liz Adventures, Carolina Charm, Hello Happiness and The Good Life Blog and meet some other cool bloggers!

-ONE-
I made corn bread muffins and pumpkin spice muffins to take to my cousins Brunswick stew! Lord have mercy it was cold that night, but we ate some pretty good stew and hung out around the fire and ate all the muffins. I also learned about Kalter Hund which is a German cake. Oh it was to die for and as soon as I make it I will have to share it with y'all!

-TWO-
I know I talk about John quite a bit on here, but I can't explain how much he means to me and how much he makes my life better. I know I often give him a hard time about a lot of things and sometimes vice-versa. But in the end, I truly believe we are both happier than we've ever been. And really, that's all that matters.

Oh and a few weeks ago I posted about how John got promoted. He finally sent me a picture with his new top and an extra stripe! I'm one very proud fiancee over here!

-THREE-
Because my house is kind of in the boon docks and surrounded by a pretty good chunk of woods we often get wild life that grazes in our back yard. Yesterday evening I happened to see two deer out in the back yard. Luckily they stuck around long enough for me to get a few pretty good pictures of them!

-FOUR-
I have been doing very well keeping up with my #40milesinNovember and because some days I've been logging an extra 2 miles I finally made it to the blue level in Nike Running! Ahh! I've already set a longer term goal of being able to complete a half marathon but I'll talk more about that later on.

-FIVE-
I am absolutely in love with Panera's bread bowl. So in love in fact that I made my own for dinner this week. I made our family recipe broccoli and cheddar soup in the crock pot and set out my dough to rise then popped those little bowls in the oven and came out with a delicious dinner for a cool night!

Yep, so that's just about everything exciting for this week. Thanks for stopping by!
