Beauty Mini Series: Everyday Makeup

Monday, September 22, 2014

Don't be so down about Monday! Okay, y'all might be asking why?! Well, because I'm going to tell you my favorite everyday makeup look! That's right, this is the fourth and final beauty mini-series installment. That might be one too many exclamation points for a Monday, so forgive me.

I hope y'all have enjoyed learning about my makeup storage, drug store favorites, and formal makeup look. I thought I might wrap it up with something that, in my personal opinion, could be useful to anybody who wears makeup.

I've told y'all before, I'm a very neutral simple girl when it comes to my everyday look. Although I love glam, I don't really want it on my face all the time.

This look uses five products, but really could be simplified even further if you were in a time crunch.

I started this look off with the eyes. First using a eyeshadow base, this is basically to even out the color on my lids. After the color is even and I have a nice blank "canvas", I take my bronzer on by blending brush and blend that into my crease. Got that? Great. Our eyes are done for now.

Moving on to the face, I like things to be quick and easy. I recently found a new product by Maybelline called Dream Pure BB cream. I love it. It has a whole slew of benefits one of the main ones being it contains 2% Salicylic acid, which treats acne. It has a light coverage, so if you want a medium to full coverage, go with something a little heavier.

If you are in a time crunch, or like me on most days and are just too lazy, skip this step. Sometimes I just want to show off the full effect of my freckles.

Let's keep going with the face, shall we? Next comes your bronzer and blush. I apply these as I normally would, somewhat light, just enough to give some color. Of course, if you skipped the BB cream, you might want to skip the bonzer and blush too and just go with a natural face look.

And the last step, mascara! I feel like this is a must for me everyday! So if you are feeling lazy, you really could skip everything EXCEPT the mascara. I think this does so much for my eyes, I really never leave the house without it!

What does your everyday make look involve?

  1. I love your every day look- natural while still looking put together! I recently started using the Garnier BB cream and like that when I am in a jam!

  2. Wow this seems so simple! I'm notoriously bad at makeup so I'm always looking for good beauty posts!
