Welcome to the sixth installment of the DIY Christmas Series. So far we've made Christmas decorative blocks, Land That I Love picture, Clear Chalkboard Reminder Board, Stained Glass Resin Coasters, and I Love You More than Biscuits and Gravy cutting board.
This week we are staying in the kitchen by making labels for our flour and sugar canisters. This is a very simple, yet useful DIY Christmas gift!
2 Canisters ($5 each at Walmart)
Vinyl (for Silhouette or big sticker letters)
The first thing you’ll want to do it layout your letters or create the design in the Silhouette Studio. Again this week I wanted something very simple but served my purpose, so I did a simple font without all the fancy borders and such.
Put the correct amount of vinyl on your cutting mat and cut out your design. I really love having my Silhouette and can create just about anything I can imagine with it. If you are considering one, I would definitely recommend it!
Cut and weed your design so it can be put on your canisters. Use your transfer tape or Glad Press n Seal to transfer your vinyl over to the canister. Use the scraper to make sure it’s stuck on the canister fully.
**Be sure to wash your canister before you use it.
