What's Up Wednesday: Week 6

Wednesday, March 11, 2015

Thanks for stopping by the 6th week of What's Up Wednesday! I can't believe we have been at this for 6 weeks already! I feel like we were just planning and getting ready to start it.

So this week we have a new set of questions as well as a new guest co-host. Elizabeth from Epise of Cake is joining us this week! I'm so excited that she is here to help us out with What's Up Wednesday!

Don't forget to follow us, answer the questions, grab a button and add your link to the linkup. If you are still confused go here to get all the details!

Let's get started shall we?!

What I loved about this past week//

STARTING MY NEW JOB!! I've only worked 3 days so far but I've already made a few new friends and can't wait to actually start my new job. So far we've been going over procedure and a few things basic lab techniques. But I'm pretty darn excited to just be here! Every time I log onto the computer and see the company name I get a little jolt of excitement!

Also can we talk about bad lighting for a picture that will stick with me for the rest of my future at this company! I look so washed out! And it was raining the day we had our pictures taken. At least it wasn't horrible, right?! But that's okay, my cute picture goes right along with these super cute lab glasses! I hope I can get some better safety glasses soon!

The 5k in my hometown got postponed to May 2nd, so I didn't have to do an official run, but I did run a new trail kind of near my house. It's actually pretty awesome. When it is all finished it will run from Richmond all the way to Williamsburg. But it has a lot more hills than I was used to, so my 5k didn't go as well as I'd hoped, but here's to getting better!

What I'm looking forward to//

Possibly going down to the beach this weekend for the St. Patrick's Day parade/celebration. I'm pretty stoked for it and hope that I'll be able to go.

Other than that I'm really just looking forward to getting into the groove of things at work and not being stuck in front of a computer all day. Oh yeah, and learning my way around the building. I swear I've walked into the wrong hallway at least 3 times already. At least the other workers are very nice and give me guidance when I need to figure out where I'm going.

What my latest obsession is//

My new fingernail polish! Sally's was having a huge sale a few weeks ago so I went and got 4 new colors. I decided this quite bright coral color was perfect for hopefully warding off any more unwanted snow! Next I'm going to try this beautiful pale blue that screams Spring!!!

Also I'm obsessing over the Lunar Chronicles series (Cinder, Scarlet, Cress and Winter). I'm currently reading Scarlet which is also pictured above. I am about half way through it and can't wait to finish it! I just wish I had more time to read now that I'm working full time.

What I'm watching//

Hart of Dixie. I swear I'm almost caught up. Other than that I have a few shows I want to get back into. 90210 for instance. I'm seriously like a season and a half away from finishing that. And Grey's Anatomy. I'm at least 5 seasons into that and I really want to catch up!

What I'm craving//

Warm sunshine hitting my pathetically pale body! Oh, sweet warm sunshine please hurry up and get here, I'm tired of the wimpy winter sun.

What have y'all been up to?

  2. Hills make all the difference, so your time would be quicker if the course was flat! Don't fret that - hills also make you stronger! :)

  11. Um, I pretty much wish we lived in the same city. I would love to hang out with you and listen to your awesome mandolin playing and go to bluegrass bars and such! Ugh!! Why do we have to live so far apart?!

  12. Thanks Janelle! That's what I tried to convince myself as I was dragging my butt up them. Luckily the 10k course is fairly flat. The hills are more of slopes than hills.

  20. No you were spot on with that series! I'm really hoping I like Matched too. Also I'm glad you think the picture is good. I kind of feel ridiculous in my huge lab glasses! I'd like some that are a little more stylish.

  23. I need that nail polish! And I think your lab glasses are rad. And that's lame your 5K got postponed, but it's sweet they're building a cool trail! Running trails are my fave but I've yet to find any good ones around where I live!
