Books have really been captivating me recently. I love being able to escape this cold weather by jumping into a book. So I was very excited when I found out that my new computer came with a 6 month subscription of Entitle.


If you are like me, I'd never actually heard of Entitle until I got it in my computer package. Think Netflix for books. It's actually pretty awesome. Each month you can download 2 books. Even if you cancel your subscription, you can keep the books. Also, Entitle works with almost any device you want to read on, so that means I have to charge up my Kindle!

I'm so excited to read my new books from Entitle. I've already downloaded The Time Tutor, the prequel to The River of No Return (which I absolutely loved). I think my next download might be The Art of Racing in the Rain.

Any book suggestions are greatly welcome! I feel like it's the perfect way to end January's Reading Month!

An Irish Blessing

I finally got a project put together. When I first started cross stitching, I wanted to make something that supported my Irish heritage. So I found a pattern and made The Irish Blessing. It has sat folded up in my bedroom for about 2 years now. So I finally took the initiative to pick out a frame and get a mat made for it. It turned out awesome!


I was also told an awesome Irish drinking toast yesterday when I picked up my matting. It goes a little something like this, in case you want to use it for St. Patrick's Day...

May your glass be ever full,
May the roof over your head be always strong,
And may you be in Heaven half an hour before the Devil knows you're dead.

Anyway, I've been working on a Christmas gift... yes I didn't get my Christmas gift done before Christmas. I hate when you have mess ups. Trying to pull out cross stitches are seriously no fun.



But other than my little boo boo, I think it's coming along pretty well... I just have a bit more to go. Hopefully I'll get it done before next Christmas!

January is almost gone! Can you believe it. I surely can not, though I am very excited about February coming up. It means I'm getting closer to my runs and warmer weather is coming soon!

But with the end of January comes a look at how this month's goals went. If you remember back to the beginning of the month, my goal was to read! I didn't actually get to read as much as I would like but I did make progress!

Neither of the books I read this month actually made it onto the map, but I did read 2! I read The Gods of Guilt (California) and The Night Circus (traveling). I am doing very well with this goal. If I can keep up with this reading pace, I will complete my 2015 reading resolutions. But I did want to give an updated look at my map!

Last Monday night as I was leaving for work at midnight, I looked up at the sky and saw the most beautiful sky. After that night I knew I had to capture that sight. So here's almost what I saw. AND I learned something new in the process! One strength goal complete!

Freeway to the 10k!



There are 60 days until the big day! I mean race day of course! The Monument Ave 10k is in exactly 60 days, 2 hours and some odd minutes away. I'm pretty excited if you couldn't tell.

I have been training for the 10k for about 21 days now. Of course, not all of them have been actual train days. I did get sick in that time, but even still, I have been working and progressing. I am currently on Week 3 of the Freeway to 10k race training program.



Half of my training has been in the gym, the other half on the streets. Well when I say streets, I really mean sidewalk, but you get the gist. Each week is run 3 times before moving on to the next week. And all of my runs includes a 5 minute warm up and at least 5 minute cool down. I want to be safe. AND I always stretch. I don't want to hurt anything before the big day!

I've really been trying hard to get healthy for this run. So far in my journey of running and #OperationFitFierceFab, I've lost 2.2 pounds! I know I'm not going to be the best or most athletic person out there, but I will be lapping everybody on the sidelines!

I have been highly motivated to continue on with my running. Sometimes my motivation comes from a t-shirt, other times it's from an actress on TV. But most of the time it's just to be better. I've already fount 2 other races I plan to run in this year. I'm signing up for a 5k in my hometown a few weeks earlier than the Monument Ave 10k, and I also plan to sign up for the Independence Day 8k at Myrtle Beach when the registration becomes open in early March.

  

I'm very excited to run in all of these races and hope that I will continue to find enjoyment in running and participating in events!

Friday Night Mexican!

It has recently come to my attention that I love Mexican food. Okay, so maybe I already knew that, but still. I really love Mexican food.

Usually every Friday night we go to my favorite Mexican restaurant I'll call Don P. We love the people there. They are so friendly! When we walk through the door, they greet us with a hug and ask how our week has been! Plus most of the waiters can bring us our order without even having to ask.

I took some of my friends with us to dinner and they were in complete shock at how we were greeted upon walking into the restaurant. But my Mexican love doesn't stop with Don P.

After having visited another Mexican restaurant a few times with another friend, I've become well antiquated with the owner of El P. This is also a truly great restaurant. They kept me going while I was in college! I mean, they were the best Mexican in my small farm town!

Most times when we visit El P, the owner will come over and talk with us for a few minutes and I usually end up with a margarita or sangria on the house. I absolutely love the owner. He has such a big heart and is a genuinely wonderful person.

I'm pretty excited because tonight my friends and I have plans to go to El P. We will have call ahead reservations which will be great because they are packed on Friday nights. Now if only they have parking reservations as well!

I can almost taste the guava margarita and white sauce now!

Sometimes it's very easy to set yourself up for failure. I'm not talking major failures, just simple things. Like your New Years Resolutions or goals. I always try to make very realistic goals that I can definitely complete if I put my mind to it. But sometimes it's better to be prepared when trying to figure out what goals to set.

I ran across the #AuthenticateChallenge by Whitney English, the creator of Day Designer. It's a year-long challenge that will help you discover who you are. Each month, an e-mail is sent out for a certain part of the challenge. Finding out about yourself over the year seems like a great way to set yourself up for success with New Years Resolutions.



For the month of January, the challenge is finding your strengths. This has been a hot topic for me for about a week now. I've been asked about my strengths and weaknesses a few times over the past week. In the challenge, we were to take a test to tell us what our strengths were and then you could also figure out your weaknesses from that list.

Before I took the test I said my strengths were:

1. Being a hard worker/taking pride in my work
2. Organization

When I took the strengths test my results were:

1. Learning to do things/reduce the time it takes
2. Thinker, filtering information
3. Being able to relate with others and situations
4. Collecting/gathering information
5. Communicating my feelings/putting things into words

My weakness that I both thought I was bad at and the test told me I was bad at:

1. Making decisions and taking command of a situation


So from our lists of strengths, we should make goals of things to work on during the month. I realize the month is almost over, but I want to keep working on these few things over the whole year. I feel like it will help me be a better person. I am also hoping by sharing these strengths and goals, y'all will help keep me accountable.

1. Creativity - Do more DIY projects/really get my Etsy shop started and going
2. Organization - Make a photo index for all the crafts on my blog
3. Curious/Learning - Learn something new and share it on the blog
4. Friendly/Kind - Read and post genuine comments on new blogs
5. Listener/Sensitive - Really think about comments/replies to comments and be real!




Eric Church Radio 24/7

Monday when I was driving home from work I had the radio on. I say it like that because I usually don't listen to the radio. I always have an audiobook playing while driving to and from work, but right now I'm in between audiobooks. Anyway, I was listening to the radio.

My least favorite part about the radio is the commercials and talk shows in the morning. But Monday on my way home, I was sitting at a red light and an advertisement came on for Eric Church. I absolutely love Eric Church. It's something about his voice/music. Anyway the advertisement was for his Outsiders tour. The tour which will bring him to Virginia.



I was so excited. I went straight home and got on the computer to look at the tickets. They were actually affordable! I mean, I might be in the nosebleed section, but I can afford to go. So I called up my country loving BFF and said that we had to go together.

Between now and April you best believe I'll be playing Church on repeat. My car will be Eric Church radio 24/7! I can't wait to don my cowboy boots and point my wheels east to see Eric Church in Hampton!




You Got Me Good Elements!

I have a secret to tell y'all. I am in love with Photoshop. I have been in love with it since I was on the yearbook staff in high school. It is pretty much cooler than sliced bread.

My sophomore year of college, I got my own version of Photoshop for my computer. I can't tell you how many pictures I edited even before I would put them on Facebook! But when my computer died, I went without Photoshop for the longest time.

Luckily with my new computer I got an upgraded version of Photoshop. I went from using Photoshop Elements 8 to Elements 12. And let me tell you, those versions in between really changed how Photoshop looks!



It is crazy how I can't find how to do anything anymore! I used to be an expert Photoshop user. I could do pretty much anything I wanted. Now I'm sure that I couldn't tell you how to use every single tool in Elements 8, but whatever I could dream of doing, I could execute it.

With the new Photoshop, everything is so different. I actually looked for Youtube videos to figure out how to do things. Let me tell you, trying to figure out how to insert an image as a separate layer took me about 10 minutes. Who knew it would be under File>Place. You got me good Photoshop, you got me good.

So anyway, I'm hoping now that I have Photoshop back at my disposal, I'll have no excuse for crappy pictures. Well, no excuse once I learn where everything is again...

American Sniper + My Favorite Scenes

Over the weekend, a few friends and I went to see American Sniper. It is what I would consider one of the most patriotic movies I've ever seen.

SOME SPOILERS AHEAD! READ AT YOUR OWN WILL.



This movie is based on the book American Sniper, which is an autobiography written by Chris Kyle himself.

I really wanted to read the book before I went to see the movie, but I didn't want to miss the opportunity to see it with my friends.

As with most movies/books, I don't like to ruin all the surprises. So I read absolutely nothing about either of them before going to see the movie. I actually had heard nothing of Chris Kyle, which is amazing, yet somewhat disappointing after having watched the movie.

Kyle's story is an amazing one. He was an American that everybody should be proud of. He made many difficult sniper shots and had more than 150 confirmed kills.

There were quite a few scenes that stick out in my mind. I'll share those with you and hope that you will want to also watch the movie.

Most Astonishing Scene:

At the very beginning, Chris is watching for threats to Marines who are coming through a small town. After having watched a male make a whole call, possibly to alert others of the Marines presence, Chris sees a woman and son walk out of a building. The woman then hands the son a RPG of some sort. The son runs towards the oncoming Marines, but before he can throw the RPG, Chris shoots him. After the mother witnesses this, she runs towards her son grabbing up the RPG and begins to throw it at the still oncoming Marines. Chris shoots the woman mid-throw, but not before the RPG lands only yards in front of the Marines. Luckily, thanks to Chris' excellent shot, the Marines were saved.

Funny Scene:

In the background of Chris' life, you see that he has always been an excellent shot even from a young age. At sniper training, he continues to miss his target. The instructor tells him to narrow his scope, there was only one thing out there, the target. Chris corrects his instructor by saying there were other things out there. After receiving a doubtful look from the instructor, Chris shoots a snake slithering through the grass a few yards away from the target. After the shot, he tells the instructor he does much better with live targets.

Sit on the Edge of your Seat Scene:

After having made one of the best kills of his life, Chris and his team are being attacked by insurgents. While fighting off the insurgents and still waiting for quick response backup, a sandstorm makes its way towards their position. As the sandstorm looms closer, the insurgents get closer and closer. After having almost run of out ammunition, Chris and his team make an escape just as the sandstorm hits. Barely being able to see where the escape Humvee is, Chris' team makes it on board. As it drives off, Chris runs along behind trying to get on board. He finally makes it just as you think he might be left.




If We Were Having Lattes...

I feel like it has been forever since we've had drinks. Though I do believe I'll be having a non-fat latte because I'm really trying hard to watch what I eat/drink.

Christmas seemed to pass right before my eyes. Did it do that for any of y'all? By the time I finally got into the Christmas spirit, it was the 26th of December. Day late and dollar short I suppose. I'm really trying to stay on top of this year, though January is really flying by.

Speaking of January, are you sticking to your resolutions? We are 16 days into the new year! My goal for this month is books. I'm about to finish my second book. I feel like I'm making a good start towards my 25 books this year.

In other news, I'm still going strong on my 10k training. I'm on week 2 of the Podrunner Interval Freeway to 10k series. It is a 10 week series, and although I'm more than 10 weeks out, I figured I might need a little extra time.

Words to inspire from Tuesday
I went for another run at the gym on Tuesday. I do like going to the gym, but I don't think it's quite as good for preparing for the 10k as running down the road. For now it will have to do thanks to the cold weather we are getting.

It always amazes me when people... y'all... my lovely readers tell me that you like my blog. Or that you read it often. I can't describe how great it is to know that I am actually able to reach out, more so than just 3 readers! Anyway the point of all of this is that my new blogging friend, Elizabeth from The Blooming Air Force Bride nominated me for the Liebster Award. I'm so thankful to her and all of my readers!

1. How did you decide on the title of your blog?

If y'all remember back a few years ago, my blog started out as The Life of Ms. A. Bish. Eventually, I felt like I needed to "upgrade" to the woman I had become. Changing my blog name was hard for me, but as I was driving down a country road listening to one of my all time favorite country bands, the name just came to me... American Honey was born then.

2. What made you decide to start your blog?

I wanted to connect with people. That was my first reason. An alternative reason was a creative outlet. 

3. What is your favorite food?

Bread! I absolutely love bread. A photo finish second would be Mexican food...

4. Where is your favorite place to shop?

Kohl's for clothes and Michael's for everything else!

5. If you could travel anywhere in the world where would it be & why?

I'm actually trying to create a list of the places I would love to visit. High on my list are: New Orleans, Savannah Georgia, Ireland and Nice France.

6. What’s your favorite pastime other than blogging?

Crafting, without a doubt. I just get these urges to craft. Recently I've been getting the urge to paint, not like canvas artwork, more like wood decor. Other than crafting I have really gotten into reading.

7. What’s your favorite post you’ve written & why?

It is really hard for me to pick out one post that I love. My most popular post by far is Sticky Fingers Corn Bread Muffins recipe. But I think I like all of my DIY posts because I love being crafty.

8. A long lost relative gives you a large sum of money, what do you do with it?

I would buy my car, then possibly a house. Help my parents pay off the beach house then put the rest in savings.

9. What is your all time favorite movie?

I'm an action/adventure girl. I love the Fast and Furious series and the Bourne series. I'm so indecisive, I can't pick just one!

10. Where do you see your blog going in the next year?

I hope to grow it. I would like to be able to touch more people. I also have this dream to become semi-blog famous. 

11. Where does your blog inspiration come from?

Most of my inspiration comes from my everyday life. As far as craft/DIY posts go, I get inspiration for them at work. I come up with the most amazing crafts while I'm looking at all the crafty products.

I Almost Didn't Make it to 2015!

Last Tuesday, like the last Tuesday in December, I was having a fairly good day. The rain/snow mixture had stopped and I was out taking my dogs for a walk. Everything was great.

All of a sudden, this little Toyota truck comes barreling down the road running an excess of 45 miles per hour! As he rounds the curve I'm walking around, he passes me with 2 feet to spare. That's 24 inches. Had he been a few more feet over, I would have been gone. I wouldn't have made it to 2015.

I'm not saying I've never broken the speed limit. Sure I sometimes drive a few miles per hour over on the highway. Or I get a little lost in the song on the radio and couldn't tell you the last thing I actually remember seeing. But I have never put my life or somebody else's in danger. Danger to the point where they could have died from my mistake.

That was quite an experience. This little Toyota truck has been a problem for a while. Every time it drives down our quiet little 25 MPH neighborhood street, you can hear it coming. The loud tires and often the loud music give it away. Even after being spoken to, the speed has not reduced down.

Neighbors have complained about the noise and the speed, but the police have never come to the road to check it out. What will it take for the driver of the little Toyota to learn that our little dead end road is not the Talladega Speedway!

Northern Lights Book Review

Book Review of Northern Lights by Nora Roberts
The Story...

Nate Burke is a cop with a haunted past. To escape all the darkness of Baltimore, he takes a job as the chief of police in Lunacy, Alaska. He must get used to the snow and change of pace police work that Alaska calls for.

Meg Galloway was born and raised in Lunacy. She is an independent, strong woman used to being alone. After the disappearance of her father, she grew up without much help of her mother. As she got older, she learned to fly, becoming a bush pilot, and moved to the outskirts of town.

All was normal in Lunacy until Nate arrives. Things heat up between Meg and Nate as the snow starts to fall and the Northern Lights shine. There is a magical kiss and a murderer walking through the town's streets. It's up to Nate to solve a murder from years ago, find the killer and put the town at ease.

What I loved...

Nate is a character you can't help but love. He is somewhat broken and so real. You want him to succeed as Chief. You really can't help but cheer for him when the town has all but turned against him in his quest to find the truth about the long ago murder.

Meg was a little rebellious for my taste, but she seemed to be a true Lunatic native. Not afraid of a bear in the woods and being able to survive on her own is just part of the gig. At first she comes across as very dark and mysterious, but I warmed up to Meg once she and Nate start seeing each other.

The scenery described in this novel was beautiful. Nora Roberts is an amazing scene setter. You can just imagine standing in the middle of a snow covered road with nothing but darkness around you looking up at the northern lights. She really hits the nail on the head with the beauty of Alaska.

I love a good mystery, and boy what a mystery this was. But I'm very glad that there was some romance thrown into the mix as well. It would have been a little dry without it.

Basically if you love a murder mysteries or romance novels, this book is for you. Heck if you just want to get an idea of the beauty of Alaska, pick this thing up. Find a cozy spot by the fire and you'll fall in love within a few pages.


Fit, Fierce and Fab!

I am out of shape. It's a plain and simple fact. I'm nowhere near my heaviest weight, but I am not at my healthiest either. And I know in order to successfully jog this entire 10k, I need to start getting myself in shape.

Earlier in the week, my friend Lisa, who will also be running the 10k with me asked which gym I was a member of.... {crickets}... I don't belong to one. I drive to a neighborhood about a mile away and run through the peaceful flat streets. As a side note, Lisa, much like me, is in need of getting back in shape for the 10k.

She decided to join Planet Fitness, where you can go to any of their gyms and also bring a friend free of charge. Thanks to her wonderful choice of gyms, I can go with her and we can motivate each other to get in shape. Thanks to this... Operation Fit, Fierce and Fab was born.

What is Operation Fit Fierce and Fab you might ask?

Well it is actually a hashtag I created (#OperationFitFierceFab or #OFFF for short) to document my progress towards being healthy in 2015.

What do you define as being healthy?

I have specific measurable goals attached to my definition of healthy. I want to achieve a BMI of 24, jog the whole 10k in March and comfortably fit into all of my old jeans.

How long will #OperationFitFierceFab last?

I want to continue on this journey for at least the duration of 2015, but I would rather it become more of a lifestyle than just a goal that I accomplish and quit after I've deemed it completed.


I'm super excited to get #OFFF underway and can't wait to share my progress with y'all.

An Update on Us

Y'all may or may not have noticed that I haven't been talking about John as much recently. Instead of doing a Untold Stories this month, I want to give y'all an update on everything.

In mid-Fall, John found out he is moving to Alaska. He will be PCSing there in late Spring. As you might imagine, it was quite a shock. It has also really took a tole on both of us. I was in big time denial. I hoped for months that the orders would fall through and he could stay in Charleston. Then I tried to accept it and get excited about it. But it is just so far away from both of our family.

Because of all of the big news, it has really caused John to stress, which has made me stress. The past few months have been very, very stressful for both of us. Not knowing what we should do about the move has really been hard.

Things have been very rocky and have really made me reconsider my future. I'm not exactly sure what lies ahead, but whatever it is I'm going to be brave and make the best of it.





The Golden Vlog -- January

It's Thursday, the second Thursday in January. That might not mean anything to y'all, but to me it means it's Golden Vlog day. I'm so excited to be back and participating in The Golden Vlog again! If you have not yet participated, what are you waiting for?! It feels a little silly at first, but it really is a lot of fun.

Okay, so I must apologize for my funny voice this month. I've been sick for the past few days and my voice just decided to disappear yesterday. Luckily it did come back enough for me to film the vlog. If not I would have had to do the vlog in sign language, and that would have really been funny. January Reading Goals

For January I decided reading would be my goal. Normally I would have done organization because I feel like that sets you up for greatness, but I figured in order to actually meet my goal of 25 books read in 2015, I needed to start this early.

What I want to read:

- Read 25 books
- 14 of the books towards 50 books from 50 states
- Some books I specifically want to read are: Gone South, Bound, The Fault In Our Stars, The Silver Linings Playbook, and The Beach Trees.

What I'm going to do with my books:

- Write 1 review a month
- Make the 50 books for 50 states map
- Find a book for all 50 states

Baked Spaghetti Squash Casserole

I might have set my fitness month for March, but that doesn't mean I can't prepare for it now. Suzy Q and I made this amazing baked spaghetti squash casserole to take to a dinner. I have to say some people were skeptical, but once we all tried said healthy casserole, it became a quick fan favorite.


Ingredients:

5 1/2 cups cooked spaghetti squash (1 large or 2 small spaghetti squash-- cooking directions below)
1 tbsp butter
1/2 tbsp olive oil
1/4 cup white onion, minced (optional)
1/4 cup flour
2 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
4 cups baby spinach
parmesan cheese, grated (to top dish)
salt
pepper

Cooking the Squash (Microwave Method):

1. Wash spaghetti squash. Poke holes all over squash with a knife. Place paper towel in microwave and squash on top of paper towel.

2. Microwave for 7 minutes then rotate 180 degrees and microwave again for 6 minutes to cook squash evenly. Make sure the squash is cooked all the way through by piercing the middle (should pierce fairly easily).

3. Be careful getting the squash out of the microwave. It will be hot. Let it cool down just a bit. Cut it in half lengthwise, remove and throw out the seeds. With a spoon separate the flesh from the shell. It should scoop out easily and look like spaghetti. If it is not scooping out easily, try cooking it a little bit longer.

Preparing Baked Spaghetti Squash Casserole:

4. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. While you wait, heat the butter and olive oil in a large sauce pan over medium heat.

5. Add the onions and cook until they are becoming golden.

6. Add the flour and whisk to combine. Lower the stove to medium low and stir the butter/flour mixture occasionally.

7. Slowly add the milk and whisk continuously over medium heat. Stir mixture until it becomes smooth and creamy and starts to simmer. Stir until sauce thickens. You will want to make sure this sauce is thick enough that it doesn't come out in one stream. You don't want the casserole to be watery.

8. Remove the sauce from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese. You want your sauce and cheese to be a smooth combination.

9. Season with salt and pepper. After seasoned, add 5 1/2 cups cooked spaghetti squash as well as the spinach and combine them together.

10. Transfer your whole spaghetti squash, spinach, sauce mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

11. Bake casserole for 40 to 45 minutes or until it is bubbly and golden brown on top.

12. Once removed from the oven, let the casserole sit for 5 or so minutes to finish cooking. Serve and enjoy this healthy, yet delicious meal!

Make Me Wanna Roll My Windows Down and CRUZE!

I have been wanting a new car for about 7 months now. Now, let me confess. I do have use of a car that runs. But it doesn't warm up until I've already arrived at work, and it likes to stall out at stoplights (PS, it's a automatic car), oh and there's the fact that it could just not turn on at any given time because the computer is going bad. So, I really want a new car.

My dad has said that he would pay for half of the car and I would have to pay for the other half. I've been saving every penny (I just don't count Christmas). With my dad's help, I've got enough for a down payment. It will make my monthly payments low enough that I can afford the car payment as well as insurance.

The only problem is finding my dream car. I've got my heart set on a Chevy Cruze, that really pretty blue color. The one that nobody seems to be selling. Though I really like the smoke grey color as well, and apparently so does everybody else.



I'm just going to hold out for the perfect car to come along and keep saving my money so that way when I do find it, I'll be able to pay most of it wish cash! Ah, how awesome would that be to pay a $14,000 car with cash?! I never dreamed of the day.

12 Months of Resolutions

As I mentioned in my why's and how's of New Year resolutions, I'm planning to have one theme each month this year. It's things that I want to work on for myself, to better myself, or to make me and others happier. I.e. I'm creating my own Happiness Project!



January - Read 25 books in 2015. I feel like this is pretty self explanatory. I really want to make a pretty good headway on my 50 books for 50 states, so most of these will probably go towards that.

February - Blogging. I created 6 very specific, yet reachable goals to work on in 2015. I actually started on them earlier in December, but this month is to really focus on them!

March - Fitness/Running. The Ukrops 10k is this month and I'm going to be ready for it. I want to make 2015 a very healthy year.

April - Relationship with John. Sometimes having a month to solely focus on a relationship is a blessing. So that is what I plan to do during April, which will also be our 3 year anniversary.

May - Boost energy. I find that having a million and one things that are hanging over my head to finish drags me down. Staying organized, creating and completing to do lists and overall physical energy will be at the top of my to do list this month.

June - Travel. I may not get to travel as much as I like to, but a trip to Kansas is in order for this month. I'd also like to sit down and create a "Where We've Been" map and a list of where I want to go!

July - Me, Myself and I. This is my birthday month and I'm taking it for myself. I'm going to focus on relaxation, and giving myself what I need.

August - Save money. While money won't bring you happiness, having a little nest egg will help me sleep easier at night.

September - Friendship. Friends are one of the best blessings in life. I want to take time to make sure they know they are important to me and become a better friend all around.

October - Craft. Crafting is often one of the first things to go when things get tough. This month is all about the DIY and crafting. More than likely I'll be making Christmas presents.

November - Be thankful. There is a lot to be thankful for in my life and I'm hoping 2015 will bring many more things. It will be nice to shut out all the distractions and focus on the thankful.

December - Faith. In the past, I haven't been the best Christian, but I want to become better. So the month of December will be devoted to faith and putting my trust in God.

If all goes well, I'll be a better version of me in 2015. What are your New Year goals?
